Submissions closed at midnight 1 August 2022 (AEST).

About the Monash Moon Festival Program

The City of Monash is a linguistically and culturally diverse city with residents from 106 countries, speaking 84 languages. Monash Council acknowledges that culture embraces social inclusion, connection, community identity, celebration and the sharing of diversity and understanding.

To continue to celebrate multicultural diversity of our City, Monash Council is happy to announce the release of a funding opportunity for an incorporated or not for profit organisation to deliver a one-night event that celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival for the Monash community, to be located within the City of Monash between 8 to 11 September.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a traditional festival dating back over 3,000 years.

The festival corresponds to mid-September when the moon is at its brightest and fullest size.

In 2022, this date will be the 10 September.
